The Amotekun corps in Osun State on Thursday stated its operatives apprehended the duo of Nafiu Biodun, aged 21 years, and Tijani Dada, 30, for making an attempt to kill one Lateef Sikiru, in Apomu.
The Corps stated the 2 males have been arrested after a grievance was lodged in opposition to them on the Isokan Native Authorities Space command.
A press release by Idowu Yusuf, the spokesperson for Osun Amotekun obtained in Osogbo, stated operatives arrested the suspects at completely different places in Apomu on Wednesday.
It stated the suspects have been handed over to the police for additional interrogation and prosecution.
The Osun Amotekun Commander, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi, (retd.), whereas commenting on the event stated, “The suspects have been arrested at completely different places in Apomu after making an attempt to homicide one Lateef Sikiru by capturing a gun at him.
“A grievance was lodged at Amotekun Isokan Native Authorities Command and the operatives swung into motion instantly and the culprits have been apprehended of their hideout.
“Throughout the investigation, Biodun confessed to perpetrating the act, whereas Wakili stated he gave Abiodun his gun with the motive that he wished to make use of the gun to kill bush meat.”
