Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman, looks set to rejoin his parent club RB Leipzig for pre-season after Leicester City refused to retain his services permanently, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The winger, signed on a season-long loan from the Bundesliga side on deadline day last summer, made an impact at the King Power Stadium, scoring eight goals and providing five assists in 41 appearances across all competitions last season.
Leicester City were told to pay £15m for the winger, who has had a nomadic career, playing for four different clubs in the last four years – Everton, RB Leipzig, Fulham, and Leicester City.
And despite a decent campaign at the King Power Stadium last season, the Foxes have passed up the chance to sign the Nigerian this summer.
Lookman will face stiff competition against the likes of Christopher Nkunku, who just signed a new contract, Andre Silva who is linked with a move to Barcelona, Emil Forsberg and Dani Olmo at Leipzig for a place in the club’s attack.
