PDP Chieftain Assures Delta Gov-elect Will Halt Kidnapping and Other Vices

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Prince Julius Obelikpeyah, has assured that the state Governor-elect, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori will put an end to kidnapping and other forms of insecurity in the state.

Obelikpeyah, who is also a Warri-based industrialist, while expressing happiness over the release of kidnapped human rights lawyer, Dr Akpo Mudiaga-Odje from his abductors, told journalists that his conviction in that regard stems from the fact that “the Governor-elect is a dogged fighter who fought against kidnapping and other security matters in the administration of former Governor James Ibori”.

He said, “I can assure you that hard times await kidnappers and criminals in Delta State with the inauguration of Rt Hon Oborevwori as Governor of Delta State on May 29, 2023.

“He will take the fight to kidnappers and other criminals in the state,” he noted.

Obelikpeyah who addressed newsmen in his Oborevwori Campaign Office, noted that his organisation planned an all night prayer vigil for the successful inauguration of Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, adding that the organisation will also play host to party faithful and people of goodwill after the inauguration.

He called on the people of Delta State to extend the love and support they had for the outgoing Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to Oborevwori, “so that they can continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.”
