NEWS UPDATE: Zamfara: Police debunk reports of bandit attack on Shinkafi station

The Zamfara Province Police force Command has dismissed media publications that there was an onslaught on its station at Shinkafi.

Recall that there were reports on Thur alleging that armed bandits attacked a law station and carted absent arms and ammunition.

Next the reports, the Zamfara Province Police force Command, in a statement by SP Mohammed Shehu, Police force Public Relations Officer, on Sun, said opposite to a misleading study on Page 8 of the Daily Trust Paper of Saturday 25th September 2021, there was no onslaught on whatever law station in Shinkafi LGA or whatever section of Zamfara Province.

“Similarly, the study of an onslaught on Shinkafi town was also inaccurate. What happened was that in the early hours of Fri, 24th September 2021, armed bandits in their big number attempted to onslaught Shinkafi, but were proactively repelled by the articulation law and military machine operatives stationed in the town, with heavy casualties suffered by the bandits.

“No loss of life either from the security forces or the inhabitants. Similarly, nobody was abducted,” the statement said
