The Human Rights Writers Organization of Nigeria, HURIWA, has accused the Federal Regime and the Nigerian military machine in the S East of collusion with armed Fulani men to onslaught residents of the part.
HURIWA alleged that the regime is masterminding the killing of the Eastern Security Network, ESN, the security wing of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, saying the residents of the part are at present defenceless.
In a statement issued and made available to DAILY POST on Monday, the rights grouping condemned the incessant kidnapping of students of the Abia Province Academy by suspected armed Fulani, stating that the attackers “who are real likely to be taking refuge in a community at the Enugu/Okigwe Federal High Way which has get the hotbed of insurgents and a killing field of citizens of Southeastern parts of the country”.
“The 82 partition of the Nigerian Regular army and the military machine formations in Owerri, Abia Province working capital, and Anambra Province combined their forces to go after the members of the vigilante grouping known as the Eastern Security Network, ESN which was established by concerned youth of the S East of Nigeria.
“At present that these vigilante members are killed and disempowered, the dreaded armed Fulani militia have returned to work in the different parts of the S Eastern part, killing, maiming, raping and kidnapping Students and the latest existence the abduction of students of the Abia Province Academy in Uturu close Okigwe which occurred few days agone.
“The incident is not the firstly nor is it the moment time but yet the entire military machine forces that were mobilised to exterminate the ESN have conveniently gone to bed whilst these evil people are dorsum at work of terrorism in Igbo heartland. We telephone on the governments of the S East of Nigeria to wake upward from slumber and arm their respective Security vigilante to go after these armed Fulani attackers who are killing the Igbo speaking people of Nigeria”.
