Residents of Jajere town in Fune Local Authorities Area of Yobe Province has called on Governor Mai Mala Buni to rehabilitate the 45-kilometer route from Tikau to Jajere.
Speaking to newsmen in Jajere, the village top dog of Jajere, Alhaji Adamu Wakili Ilu said the telephone became vital because the route was at present a decease trap.
He said the route was constructed since the Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim administration, adding that it has been totally damaged and the people are seriously suffering.
Wakili Ilu revealed that several appeals were made by the people of Jajere town to the past times governments in the Province to rehabilitate the route.
According to him, Jajere town is the third largest town in the local regime and people used to come up from far places similar Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Niger Republic and other places to merchandise.
Also speaking, fellow member representing the area in the Yobe Province House of Assembly, Hon. Ciroma Buba Mashio assured that really before long regime will commence work on the route.
He said regime had approved some amount for the rehabilitation of the route.
“We are waiting for the regime to release the funds and as before long as the fund is released, the work will commence without delay,” he said.
