NEWS UPDATE: We are in search of officers who robbed resident of N150,000, mobile phone in Oyo – Police

The Oyo Province Law command has said that the command is in search of some of its officers who illegally robbed a resident of the amount of N150,000 and a mobile phone.

DAILY POST gathered that a resident of Oyo Province, Emmanuel Jesugbemi, had raised an warning that some law officers in Apata area illegally collected money and his mobile phone.

The incident occurred on Thur.

The command in its reaction, said that it is in search of the unsmooth officers.

The command in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Fri by its Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, famous that the command frown at the evolution.

Osifeso famous that the command is investigating the matter.

Osifeso said, “The attending of the Oyo Province Law Command was on Thur 07/10/2021 drawn to a 1minute 50 seconds video made by one Emmanuel Jesugbemi, ‘m’, alleging that he was at gunpoint, robbed off his handset and cash to the tune of #150,000 (One hundred and 50 thousand naira) by rogue Law Operatives, purportedly attached to the Command around Apata area, under Ido LGA in Ibadan.

“It is worthy to annotation that the Command frowns at this serious misconduct and wishes to intimate members of public that the matter was straightaway escalated through an investigative research setup by the Commissioner of Law, Oyo Province Law Command, Ngozi Onadeko upon its receipt.

“Preliminary investigations have revealed the alleged Culprit identified by the Victim does not serve under Oyo Province Command but was rather in the jurisdiction on other yet to be specified duties.

“Furthermore, investigations are in top gear to apprehend all the officers involved in the unpleasant actions of Thur 07/10/2021 for their various involvements with the assurances of adequate sanctions meted out on all guilty parties upon recommendations from the Investigation panel”.
