NEWS UPDATE: Watford v Man Utd: Solskjaer takes final decision in removing Maguire as captain

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer,has said he has no intention to strip Harry Maguire, the Manchester United captaincy.

Speaking ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Watford, on Saturday, Solskjaer insisted both he and Maguire would keep to disregard the ‘so-called experts’.

Roy Keane had branded United captain Maguire a ‘shame and an embarrassment’, next the defender’s goal celebration where he stuck it to his critics with his goal in England’s 5-0 win against Republic of Albania during the FIFA International break.

And also there were calls to modify the gild’s captain with Maguire having been adjudged to have disrespected the fans with his mental attitude.

“Harry, as Gareth [Southgate] rightly said, he’s not one to hide on the handling tabular array or assay to regain whatsoever excuse to sit down out games,” the Norwegian told the press.

“For me, no I’ve not considered taking whatsoever captain’s armband absent from him. He’s been an absolute stalwart for us on and off the pitch since he came in.

“The so-called experts have their opinions and that’s their job to lay their persuasion that’s not something we have to worry too much in relation to.

“As a true instance of a Man United player Harry is there for his squad and his country.”
