NEWS UPDATE: Two persons die in fatal crash on Bauchi-Kano highway

Two people lost their lives in a lethal accident that happened on the Bauchi-Kano thruway on Monday, while another individual supported injury in the mishap and one more circumvented unhurt.

Confirming the mishap to columnists in Bauchi on Tuesday evening, the Bauchi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Yusuf Abdullahi, informed that the mishap happened on Monday at around 11:30am near the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Gubi campus.

According to Abdullahi, every one of the casualties engaged with the mishap were grown-up male, adding that it included two vehicles, a private vehicle and a business Toyota Camry and a private Jincheng motorcycle.

The area leader informed that the Toyota Camry, with enlistment number, BG 296 ABC, was driven by one Aminu Danjuma, adding that the enrollment numbers and drivers of the other vehicle and bike were unknown.

While ascribing the collide with speed infringement, the area authority disclosed that while attempting to stay away from a pothole, the motorcyclist ran into the approaching Toyota Camry from the inverse direction.

He informed that the casualties were emptied to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi, where the perished were affirmed dead, adding that their remaining parts were stored in the emergency clinic’s morgue.

“The crash happened yesterday, Monday, 25th October, 2021 including two vehicles and a Jincheng cruiser. The cruiser was attempting to stay away from a pothole yet lamentably, he ran into the Toyota Camry which was coming in the inverse direction.

“Our men surged there when we were educated and protected the casualties to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi for treatment.

“It was in the clinic that two of them were affirmed dead by a clinical doctor.

“The cadavers were kept at the ATBUTH morgue, while the harmed was likewise being treated there,” Abdullahi told journalists.
