The Nigeria Centre for Illness Command (NCDC) has recorded 2 COVID-19 related deaths.
The NCDC made this known via its verified website on Fri bringing the country’s fatality toll to 2,742.
NCDC also recorded 290 additional infections in 14 states and the FCT.
The NCDC disclosed that Abuja ranked foremost on the log with 127 cases, followed by Lagos with 45 cases piece Kaduna in the Due north-west ranked third on the log with 28 cases.
Piece S-southern states of Delta, Rivers, Edo and Akwa Ibom States recorded 18 cases, 10 cases, 3 cases and one instance respectively, Due north-Central states of Kwara, Plateau and Nasarawa recorded 17 cases, 13 cases and 4 cases respectively.
It added that Zamfara recorded 10 cases; Imo recorded 6 cases piece Ekiti, Ondo and Oyo States recorded 5 cases, 3 cases and one instance respectively.
The agency famous that the additional confirmed infections take the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 207,210.
NCDC advised Nigerians to take preventive measures seriously as all the 4 COVID-19 variants of concern were circulating in Africa.
“To halt the spread: washing hands, wearing a mask, avoid crowded places, maintain a safe distance and maintain space good ventilated,” it advised.
