Nigerian troops repulsed an assault by the Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Borno State.
The agitators had endeavored to overwhelm the Damboa Super Camp of the Nigerian Army Thursday night.
They raged the area in around nine weapon trucks, three Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) and three MRAPs.
A military knowledge official let PRNigeria know that the attack was effectively foiled.
“Ground troops, with the help of the tactical Air Task Force (ATF) drew in them, and disposed of scores”, he said.
Three firearm trucks utilized by the fear based oppressors were annihilated, while arms and ammo were recovered.
Soldiers conveyed a leeway activity after the fight and are proceeding with watch of the general area.
