NEWS UPDATE: Tordue Salem: Police left many questions unanswered – Terver Akase demands autopsy report

One of the leading 2023 governorship aspirants in Benue Province, Terver Akase has urged the Nigeria police force to release the autopsy written report in honour to the expiry of Vanguard reporter, Tordue Salem.

DAILY POST recalls that the National Assembly correspondent who was declared lost after on Oct 13, was found dead on Thur, according to the Forcefulness Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba.

Next the uncovering of his remains, the police force on Fri disclosed that one Itoro Clement, a suspected hit-and-run commercial driver was arrested for allegedly killing the Benue-born journalist.

The explanation of the killing and the recovery of his corpse at a Full general Infirmary have stirred upwards heavy contestation since yesterday as concerned Nigerians have argued that to a greater extent facts are still needed to uncover the truth.

In his possess reaction, Terver Akase, the former Principal Press Secretarial assistant to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue Province, said the police force has left many questions unanswered.

In a post on his official Facebook page, the 2023 governorship aspirant said autopsy could have revealed whether Salem really died in an accident or gunned downwardly by assailants.

The post reads, “Did police force bring up the autopsy written report (whether whatever) regarding what killed Tordue Salem? Whether indeed he was hitting by a motorcar, the autopsy would have revealed it, the same way it will whether he was felled by a bullet.

“Perhaps, it is too early to conclude on that angle. Many questions left unanswered.”
