President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has expressed his scandalize at the 1-0 defeat to the Central African Republic (CAR) in a World Loving cup qualifying match on Thur.
Pinnick described it as a setback, but insists the Super Eagles will exact revenge in the contrary fixure this weekend.
Gernot Rohr’s men lost to a squad 90 spots below them in the FIFA rankings.
It was also Nigeria’s foremost defeat on home soil in a World Loving cup qualifier in 40 years.
In a statement, Pinnick said: “This final result has been a huge scandalize, particularly after the NFF if everything essential to create the squad comfortable and focused on the task at paw, fifty-fifty going the additional mile in a number of areas.
“This is a setback, which can be apace reversed, and the Nigerian Spirit is what we will take to Republic of Cameroon. The NFF is backing the squad to retain a strong take hold on the grouping and qualify to the knockout stage.”
CAR host Nigeria on Sun in Douala.
