Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has encouraged evangelists in Nigeria to pay Pentecost Tax.
He talked in Lagos on Friday during the public show of “Kumuyi, Defender of the Faith”.
The book is a history of Pastor Folorunsho Kumuyi, Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry.
Osinbajo said people who prevail in their undertakings owe the general public three types of taxes.
The VP clarified that the first is annual charges (individual personal expense), and enterprise charge for organization owners.
The second, he noted, is a social duty or generosity, which is the commitment of the rich to reward society.
“The third assessment is a metro charge; the commitment of the fruitful to compose their accounts, to share the narratives of the marvels they have become.
“But for the effective minister of the good news of Jesus Christ, there is the fourth duty, this is the Pentecost Tax”, he said.
Osinbajo further asked priests to recount the tale of their teacher ventures, supernatural occurrences, signs, ponders, hardships, fastings, and persecutions.
