The Kogi Province Constabulary Command has rescued 2 to a greater extent victims from the hands of their abductors.
DAILY POST recalls that one Academy don Prof. James Alabi from Kogi Province Academy was abducted 6 days agone but regained his liberty on Saturday nighttime.
The latest kidnapped victims who regained liberty from the hands of their abductors according to the Constabulary Public Relations Officers, (PPRO, in Kogi Province DSP William Ovye Aya on Dominicus are Main Idoko Emmanuel and one Paul Onoja.
The 2 victims were kidnapped on Fri, Oct 1, 2021 at in relation to 8:30PM.
DAILY POST gathered that some armed hoodlums forcefully abducted the 2 victims at Emonoja village, and shot one Miss Approving Akoh on her leg at Enugu Ezike route of Emonoja village.
Aya in a statement said the Constabulary operatives attached to Olamaboro Partitioning led by the Divisional Constabulary Officer(DPO) directly swung into activity with the assistance of local vigilantes, who chased the hoodlums into the bush.
Continuing, Aya said, “At in relation to 0600hrs of 2/10/2021, patch closing on the Hoodlums, they abandoned their captives and fled.
“Victims were rescued unharmed, patch the injured victim is currently on admission and efforts are still ongoing to arrest culprits.”
He said the Kogi Province Commissioner of Constabulary Idrisu Dauda Dabban has called on members of the public to go along to partner with the security agencies in the ongoing onslaught against criminal elements in Kogi Province.
