The Katsina Province Constabulary Command has paraded 3 alleged fraudsters for circulating faux nira notation in the province.
The province’s Constabulary Public Relations Officer, SP. Gambo Isah in a press statement identified the 3 suspects as Anas Lawal, Abdulaziz Wada and Tasi’u Umar.
SP. Gambo said luck ran out on the suspects when Anas Lawal who had in his possession bundles of faux Naira notes to the tune of 6 hundred thousand Naira
was arrested by a constabulary squad on patrol, along Funtua – Katsina Route.
The statement farther revealed that the suspects in the course of instruction of the investigation confessed to have received faux notes to the tune of one million Naira from one Usman Gombe, who is currently at big.
The suspect farther revealed that he sold a bundle of the faux currency to one Tasi’u Nura, at the cost of 20 thousand Naira.
The Constabulary image maker said efforts are ongoing to convey to book other accomplices involved in the fraud.
