The Kano Police Command has captured 59 presumed outfitted looters and street pharmacists during the just closed ‘Eid-Maulud’ celebrations.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna-Kiyawa 35 suspects were captured for furnished burglary, while the excess 24 were captured for drug-related offenses, adding that the suspects were all occupants of the Kano metropolitan area.
Haruna-Kiyawa further said the suspects were captured during the Eid-Maulud festivities, famously known as the “Takutaha period”, between Oct. 19 and 27, 2021.
The PPRO further said that the police recuperated different perilous weapons and medication substances from the suspects, notice gangsters and street pharmacists to atone or confront capture and prosecution.
Meanwhile, he added that the suspects would be charged to, endless supply of investigations.
