The Oyo Province Constabulary Command and the Federal Route Security Corps (FRSC) are yet to supply details of the accident which claimed in relation to 18 lives on Saturday.
DAILY POST recalls that in relation to 18 people reportedly lost their lives as a termination of an accident that occurred along Iseyin-Ibadan Route on Saturday even.
It was gathered that the incident occurred at a sharp curve at Kilometre 5, Iseyin-Ibadan Route.
Our correspondent gathered that in relation to 8 of the passengers were members of a Baptist Church building in Ibadan.
DAILY POST learnt that the church building members were coming from Saki.
It was gathered that the 2 buses collided which resulted in the expiry of in relation to 18 of the passengers in both buses.
Some of the victims were taken to a private infirmary, FADOK Infirmary in Iseyin, DAILY POST gathered.
A fellow member of the Baptist Conference in the province confirmed that some of the members of the church building died in the accident.
He told DAILY POST on Lord’s Day that, “Yes. Some of our members of Baptist were involved in the accident. A pastor and some members.
“They were coming from Saki”.
But, the province law command and the Federal Route Security Corps, Oyo Province command, have refused to supply details of the incident.
This is coming 24 hours after the incident occurred.
Public Relations Officer of the Province Constabulary Command, Mr Adewale Osifeso, when contacted on Lord’s Day, told DAILY POST that he will provide details.
Osifeso said, “Updates would be made available soonest, please”.
Similarly, efforts to acquire details of the accident from the FRSC also proved to be abortive.
An official of the FRSC, who spoke on behalf of the Sector Commandant, Mrs. Uche Winifred Chukwurah, famous that the command is yet to get details of the incident from its officers.
She told DAILY POST on Lord’s Day that the Sector Commandant was on leave of absence.
She said that the command has not been briefed in relation to the incident 24 hours after the incident.
