The Osun Province Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has presented the total of N129, 756, 450, 790.00 in the 2022 Osun Appropriation Bill to the province House of Assembly.
The proposed budget, tagged ‘Budget of Sustenance’, was presented by the governor on Tuesday at the Osun Province House of Assembly Complex, Abere.
Speaking during the presentation, Governor Oyetola stated that the proposed budget will create Osun a affluent province.
He also disclosed that the province will in 2022 focus on the collection of Internally Generated Revenue which will ensure the evolution of a workable budget.
The governor explained that his administration will boost IGR by attracting investors and foreign direct investment adding that emphasis will be placed on working capital and infrastructural evolution for growth.
Oyetola assured that as section of his administration’s commitment, no projection will be left uncompleted thence all route projects in the province will be delivered before the terminate of 2022.
This he said is section of the regime’s efforts to growth the socioeconomic sector of its citizens.
In his welcome address, the Speaker of the Assembly, Timothy Owoeye assured that the Assembly will be thorough in the consideration of the budget.
Owoeye urged the executive arm of regime to consider retaining a sure pct of revenue generated to the province to boost the province’s revenue figures.
To accomplish this, the Speaker advocated the strengthening of the Osun Internal Revenue Service (OIRS) to encounter upwards with the demands of revenue enhancement collection.
