Fifty-fifty as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) the winner of the 2021 Anambra gubernatorial election, the Osun Province Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Political party (NNPP), Dr Oluwatosin Odeyemi has expressed the hope of obtaining victory at the next twelvemonth’s Osun gubernatorial election.
Reacting to the sterling performance of APGA in the election of Saturday, Nov 6, and Tuesday, Nov 9, 2021 supplementary election, Odeyemi hinted that the NNPP was confident of snatching victory in the Osun gubernatorial election which is slated for Saturday, July 16, 2022.
According to his statement, “The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Anambra governorship election, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, who has taking a guide in the poll is a sign that a victory by NNPP is not unachievable in Osun Province.
“NNPP is set to take over Osun Province from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and also defeat the Peoples Democratic Political party (PDP) in the polls.
“We will leave of absence no stone unturned ahead of the gubernatorial election in tell to take over the province from the leadership of the APC.”
Spell maintaining that a victory for his political party is assured in the Osun gubernatorial election in 2022, Odeyemi called on the province governor, Adegboyega Oyetola to start preparing his handover annotation.
He explained that section of the reasons why Governor Oyetola should start preparing his handing over annotation was because he has mis-governed Osun Province and does not reckon other political party leaders and politicians as stakeholders in moving the province forward.
The Osun NNPP chairman who famous that the province has been suffering neglect and those in charge playing politics instead of facing governance, added that Osun has been worse for it.
In his words, “Governance in Osun Province has never been this worst. Right from the regime of Main Bisi Akande to the instant past times administration of Aregbesola, the province has not been this poor.
“The victory of our political party is assured in Osun Province come up next twelvemonth.
“We are also using this opportunity to inform Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun Province to be ready to paw over powerfulness to NNPP.
“Oyetola does not reckon other political party leaders as stakeholders in Osun Province but rather reckon us as enemies.
“As APGA has won the election in Anambra Province, Oyetola should not seem downward on whatsoever political party because the NNPP is also good prepared to take over the realm of affairs of Osun Province from the APC, ” Odeyemi affirmed.
