NEWS UPDATE: NSCDC discovers newborn baby dumped in pit latrine

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has discovered a newborn infant dumped within a pit latrine at Kwarin Manu Quarters, in Hadejia Local Regime, Jigawa Province.

The Province Public Relations Officer, CSC Adamu Shehu confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.

He said it happened on quarta-feira at in relation to 1500hrs after 47-year-old Umar Muhd reported to the NSCDC that he sighted something within his can (pit latrine) and perceived a unusual smell.
