NEWS UPDATE: NSCDC denies alleged influx of bandits into Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has excused reports getting out and about that outlaws from Zamfara and Katsina states were migrating to Kano State.

The report asserted that the crooks, getting away from the surge of safety powers, were accepted to have invaded Kano state through certain networks in Shanono, Gwarzo and Kabo nearby government spaces of the state, where they are engaged with illicit mining.

This was contained in an assertion gave by the Command’s Spokesman, DSC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, in Kano on Monday.

He said that: “The above data is checked to be untrue”.

“On Oct. 28, at around 9:00 a.m, certain individuals were seen on cruisers moving from Danguzuri town in Makarfi Local Government in Kaduna State. They went through Zarewa town in Kano State, along Beli street to Babbarika, to a settlement having a place with one Alhaji Shehu Danfulani to go to a wedding and naming function at the settlement.

“After the festival, they all got back to where they came from,” he said.

Idris-Abdullahi noticed that the Village Head of Zarewa and Shehu Danfulani have all been met by security specialists and they affirmed the situation.

“From our examination up until now, no crooks have moved to Gwarzo, Kabo and Shanono neighborhood government regions, just as Dansoshiya backwoods,” he said.

He, in any case, added that the order, in a joint effort with other security specialists, would keep on escalating reconnaissance to keep away from any undesirable development.
