The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said its September 14 sit-at-home request is out of appreciation for survivors of the tactical attack in Afaraukwu, the old neighborhood of its chief, Nnamdi Kanu.

On September 14, 2017, military agents had attacked Afaraukwu in Abia State trying to capture Kanu.

During the assault, around 28 individuals were said to have been killed by soldiers.

However, IPOB’s representative, Emma Powerful, said the Tuesday sit-at-home is consecrated across the Southeast.

According to Powerful: “We the worldwide development of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) wish to remind all Biafrans, companions of Biafra and admirers of Biafra opportunity across the globe that the sit-at-home request gave by the IPOB initiative to be noticed tomorrow, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, is sacrosanct.
