Youth wing of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo has reacted angrily to the events that played out during the trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on quarta-feira.
Trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, was stalled as his lawyers stormed out of the judicature over the enjoin of Justice Binta Nyako to allow only 5 counsels for his representation.
DAILY POST reported that the instance was later adjourned to Jan 19, 2022.
The evolution has since been attracting reactions.
Speaking on the matter, the President-Full general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike said the entire Igbo youths were irked over the handling of Kanu’s instance.
He said it was fitting obvious by the daytime that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led regime was determined to set the S-East on flame.
According to him, “there is no way else to explicate the entire needless drama that has continued to plague the Nnamdi Kanu’s trial.
“We have never seen where whatever such restrictions were placed during the trial of anyone in Nigeria.
“But hither we are, the Federal Regime is doing everything to offend the sensibilities of Ndigbo.
“They have been hell bent on launching a total scale state of war in the S-East and the window is gradually opening. The thought is to provoke the Igbo youths, and one time they react, regime will regain reason to unleash total war machine might on the S-East and commit some other genocide.
“The continual incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the deliberate effort to delay his trial is totally unacceptable. To this finish, we are for the umpteenth time calling for his unconditional release.”
The Ohanaeze youths, notwithstanding, pleaded with the entire youths to remain calm and not allow the will of the enemies of Ndigbo to come up to pass.
“We all know that the S-East since after the civil state of war has been largely rebuilt with the enterprise of our people; it is the same exertion they want to force our youths to destroy.
“I urge the S-East Governors, NASS members, devout and traditional leaders, to expedite activity in their resolve to loose Nnamdi Kanu.
“This is why I appeal to all our youths at home and in the diaspora to remain calm and not play into their hands,” Okwu pleaded.
