The Federal Authorities has said Nigeria’s resolve to remain united is unshakable.
Lai Mohammed, Government minister of Information and Civilisation, said despite challenges, Nigeria would remain united.
He disclosed this at the opening of ‘Nigeria at 60 Photo Exhibition with the theme “60 Years of Our Togetherness,” on Monday.
According to Mohammed: “The theme of the photo exhibition has been carefully couched to reverberate the unity of this great country in the past times 60 years, despite its various cultures, traditions, practices, languages and challenges.
“Similar other countries in the world, it is an incontrovertible fact that Nigeria, over the years, has gone through challenging times, but we must not miss the fact of its resolve to remain one indivisible entity.”
This is coming at a time separatist leaders, Nnamdi Kanu and Lord’s Day Igboho have been agitating for the country’s breakup.
Piece Kanu was apprehended by Nigerian security operatives, Igboho is locked upward in Republic of Benin Republic.
Meanwhile, Mohammed said his Ministry building is using the opportunity if by the Independence Anniversary celebration to organise a photo exhibition.
He said the exhibition is aimed at informing and educating Nigerian youths on the country’s history, unique heritage, and the secrets behind its unity in diversity.
