Chief coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has said he is focused on the 2022 World Loving cup qualifying games against the Central African Republic and does not want to think in relation to his unpaid salaries.
Rohr has been dealing with delayed salary payments since he took charge in 2016.
After defender Leon Balogun opened the lid on unpaid salaries and bonuses in July, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) promised to pay all outstanding fees.
When asked whether he has been paid his salaries ahead of Thur’s match against the Wild Beast, Rohr said: “I will reply with a large quiet because one daytime before the match, I don’t want to think in relation to these things.
“I want to focus on my squad, on the game, on our strategy and the dry out grooming session and allow’s speak in relation to it before long after.”
In conclusion twelvemonth, Rohr said he agreed to a pay cutting in his new two-year contract that was signed in May 2020.
The new deal includes a clause that he must have his salary in local currency – Naira.
