The fixed refusal of Nigerians to speak out particularly in the areas of security, nation-building and other related issues, have been identified as the major reasons why the country has continued to dwindle.
The Christian Organization of Nigeria (CAN) chairman in Taraba Province Rev. Isaiah Magaji Jirapye, who made the observations said the quiet of good people in the country is the reason why things have continued to autumn apart.
He also expressed sadness at the fashion Nigerians have been divided along ethnic and devout lines, describing it as hypocrisy in the approach to issues concerning the country.
He lamented that the irregularities and leadership problems in Nigeria are because good people have refused to vote and speak out.
“whether good people maintain soundless, naughty things will go along to happen,” he said.
The province CAN boss urged all and sundry to endeavour to speak out as that will catapult the country to the peak.
Also faulting the devout bodies for the woes of the country, the CAN leader said the country would have long overcome its nowadays predicament whether they dish out the right messages from their various worship centres.
“Why we are also not getting what we are looking for is because most of the preaching is not done sincerely. We do much of hypocrisy than sincerity.
He claimed that leadership is a major determinant of how far a country can go and what will get of its people, saying the demand for all hands to be on deck to displace the country forward can not be overemphasized.
”What we demand to do differently is to human action with sincerity, when we speak, lets us dorsum it upwards with sincerity”.
He appealed to Nigerians to have others from other parts of the country, stressing that there is no reason for the country to be divided ”because we are not all from the same tribe.”
