The Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) has pledged back up for the evolution and growth of the Department of Architecture, Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori, Rivers Province.
The institute promised to supply essential assistance to back up the evolution and growth of budding architects in the institution.
The Chairman of the Rivers Province Chapter of NIA, Arc. Toku Fiberesima, made the hope when he led a delegation of the executive commission of the Rivers Province department of the institute on a see to the Architecture Department and the Rector of the polytechnic.
Arc. Fiberesima said: “We urged the department to involve the institute in the panel for the assessment of graduating students of the department to ensure that graduating students encounter the standards required of architects.
“The institute will be happy to back up you and create certain that the department grows and impacts on budding architects.”
The NIA Chairman, who interacted with students of the Department of Architecture in the institution, also walked them through the processes required of them to be registered architects upon graduation.
Piece expressing gratitude to the NIA for the see, the students appealed for the elimination of the disparity betwixt architecture graduates of polytechnics and architecture graduates of universities.
The institute’s executives were welcome by the Top dog of Architecture Department, Arc. D.S. Tobi, spell the visitors also paid a courtesy phone on the Rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Ledum Suanu Gwara.
