NEWS UPDATE: NAPTIP rescues 61 victims of human trafficking in Katsina

The National Company for the Restriction of Trafficking Face To Faces (NAPTIP), has actually saved 61 victims of human trafficking in Kongolom International border Post, Maiadua in Katsina State.

The Zonal Leader of NAPTIP in Kano, Mr Abdullahi Babale, made this understood in an interview with the News Company of Nigeria in Kano on Tuesday.

He stated the rescue operation was performed by Officers and guys of the Joint Border Job Force (JBTF), in cooperation with the Nigeria Migration Service in Katsina.

” The victims were saved by the Nigerienne Cops in Niger Republic, on their method to Libya.

” The victims are comprised of 29 males and 32 women, aged in between 19 and 50.

” These victims come from Edo, Imo, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ondo and Lagos States.

” Others are Cross Rivers, Delta, Kano, Kwara, Benue, Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi, Kogi and Gombe State,” he stated.

Babale kept in mind that the victims are presently going through counselling in a shelter offered by NAPTIP while examinations have actually been released.
