Kingdom of Belgium coach, Roberto Martinez, has claimed speculation linking him with the Barcelona job are just rumours.
This follows Ronald Koeman’s refusal to respond questions at a press conference on quarta-feira.
Barca has made a poor start to the new flavor, after a summertime where they lost Lionel Messi on a loose transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Koeman is at present under heavy pressure level at Army camp Nou and Martinez is one of the names existence linked as a possible replacement.
The former Everton and Wigan boss is believed to be president Joan Laporte’s preferred candidate for the role.
But speaking to Eurosport, Martinez said: “Good as you can imagine there is nil, nil to comment for me.
“Apparently rumours, they are there, it’s normal in football.
“When you lose 3 games the rumours are that you are going to lose your job. When things are going good, you are doing good results, the rumours will be there, but it’s nil for me to comment on at this dot.”
