“The people read our lips, they read our body linguistic communication, time has come up for Nigerian leaders to come up together irrespective of political persuasions, regardless of devout beliefs to relieve various issues that face up our country.
“I am in a PDP Province at present, I’m not PDP, but I’m happy to be hither; anywhere there is evolution, we must place with it.”
Lawan, who commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for the completion of the route projection which according to him was in 20%completion when he took it over from his predecessor, Godswill Akpabio, promised to ensure that the amount expended are reimbursed by the federal authorities.

It is real important when you said you want the Federal authorities to reimburse you, you are real right, what the Federal authorities want is partnership from sub nationals. I will bring together you in requesting or talking to the federal government minister for works and housing for refund. That will encourage you to do to a greater extent fifty-fifty other province governors to do same,” Lawan said.
Speaking before, the governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel commended the Senate President for finding time to Commission the route projection adding that the route remained critical to his completion agenda.
The governor famous that that specific projection has given him delight fifty-fifty as he thanked the youths for the cooperation and peaceful disposition spell the projection lasted.
“This route may not be economically feasible whether the Federal authorities abandon the Calabar-Aba route that had long been awarded and left at the level of earthwork. We believe the Government minister of works would reimburse us, to enable us link the entire province with these roads. I give thanks the senate president for creating time to come up for the commissioning of this route which was critical to our completion agenda,” he added.
