An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Friday requested that a 25-year-elderly person, Victor Abasiama, be remanded in a remedial place for supposedly cutting his better half to death.
The police accused Abasiama of murder.
The Magistrate, Mr W.A. Salam, who didn’t take the supplication of Abasiama, requested that he ought to be remanded in Ikoyi Correctional Center forthcoming legitimate counsel from the workplace of the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), NAN reports.
Magistrate Salami suspended the matter until Oct. 20 for DPP advice.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Sgt. Temitope Adegbie told the court that Abasiama submitted the offense on Aug. 25, at Ebute Area in Ikorodu.
He affirmed that Abasiama cut his better half, Cynthia Edeya, 23, with a kitchen blade on her head and stomach.
He said the perished got into a warmed contention on the grounds that the respondent claimed that his sweetheart had abused him to his sponsor who was assisting him with chipping away at advancing his album.
“In the warmth of the contention, he got a kitchen blade and wounded her, she kicked the bucket before she found support to the emergency clinic,” he said.
He said the offense repudiated the arrangements of Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
