The older blood brother of the tardily Aisha Jumai Alhassan a.k.a. Mama Taraba, Senator Abdulazeez Abubakar Ibrahim is dead.
Ibrahim died 5 months after Alhassan, a former Government minister in the Buhari administration, passed.
The 67-year-old died on Tuesday dark at the Federal Medical Centre in Jalingo during an illness.
Ibrahim was elected in 1999 and once again in 2003 to stand for Taraba Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
In 2007, he contested for governor of the province under the All Nigerian People’s Political party (ANPP) but lost to the tardily Governor Danbaba Suntai.
Taraba Speaker, Joseph Kunini in a condolence message described Ibrahim as a political enigma.
Kunini said he left the scene at a time the province faced various challenges with the authorities pulling all mental resources to solutions.
“Decease is inevitable for every mortal. But the tidings of the decease of Senator A.A. Ibrahim, barely 5 months after the decease of his instant younger sis, Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan, is devastating.
“We can not enquiry God’s deed. May He grant their souls Aljannah Firdausi and the household the fortitude to bear the great loss. We shall sure enough miss the love and counselling of the duo”, the famous.
