NEWS UPDATE: Landlord’s son kills tenant in Ondo over rent

The child of a landowner in Akure, Ondo State has purportedly killed an occupant living in his dad’s house.

The suspect, Samuel Omojola was said to have carried out the wrongdoing during a battle including his dad and the deceased.

The episode happened at Oke-Ijebu, in Akure, the state capital.

Samuel who has been captured by police agents was said to have killed the perished with a board in the wake of hitting him on the head.

It was accumulated that inconvenience began following a conflict with the property manager and the expired inhabitant over issues verging on house rent.

Sources said the property manager had blamed the inhabitant for offending him, which later deteriorated into a hot contention between the duo.

Following the contention, the landowner was said to have called one of his children, Samuel who dropped on the perished upon his arrival.

“The occupant fell on the floor and in his very own pool blood while the concerned neighbors who came out to intercede immediately hurried him to the clinic where he was conceded and passed on two days after.”

The expired loved ones were said to have prepared to the property manager’s home and endeavored to bulldoze it after the information on the occupant’s demise separated into town

But the convenient intercession of murders investigators from Ijapo police headquarters kept them from wrecking down the building.

One of the sources said data got to the Ijapo Police Division, that the DPO promptly drafted a group of analysts to the location of the crime where they secured the suspect.

Meanwhile, he said the case would be moved to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department SCIID for additional investigation.
