Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has withdrawn from the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
The Lagos Chairman announced on Thursday that he and the state chapter were leaving the national body.
He urged Governor Sanwo-Olu to take over the running of the union with the constitution of a park Management Committee for motor garages and parks.
Oluomo said this would ensure peace and tranquility, pending the determination of the matter.
The NURTW had suspended him for “insubordination and misconduct”, and inciting members against chieftains.
The leadership alleged that Oluomo planned to attack branches that “may disobey your orders aforesaid will ultimately endanger public peace and order”.
The letter signed by General Secretary, Kabiru Yau, said the sanction was in line with Article 42 section 5, subsection I, II, III, IV, V, and VIII of NURTW constitution.
