Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi Province, on Tuesday, administered the oath of business office on 3 newly-appointed high tribunal judges in the province.
2 of the new judges, Hon. Justice Abubakar Suleiman Ibrahim and Hon Justice Sulayman Abdullahi, were until their appointment, the Main Registrar of the High Judicature and the Secretarial assistant of the Judicial Service Commission of the province respectively.
The third, Hon. Justice Aminu Ali Eri, was a Justice of the Peace with the FCT High Judicature of Justice.
The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Main Edward Onoja, expressed confidence in the new judges patch noting that their proven runway tape of competency will guide them in their new calling.
Next the evolution, Hon. Main Justice of the Province, Hon. Justice Richard Olorunju Olorunfemi, approved the appointment of Barr. Clement Kejere as the Main Registrar of the High Judicature and Barr. Joseph Dominicus Ajesola as the Secretarial assistant of the Judicial Service Commission of the province.
Both appointments take instant effect.
Meanwhile, the newly-appointed judges are to be presented to the department of the Nigerian Bar Organization (NBA) in Kogi Province tomorrow, 6th Oct 2021, at the headquarters of the Kogi Province judiciary.
