Kano Province High Tribunal 4 sitting at Audu Bako Secretariat has ordered 2 operatives of the disbanded Special Anti Robbery quad SARS to pay N50m for killing Mustapha Idris Muhammad in 2019.
It was reported that SP Uba Bangajiya and Inspector Garba Galadima were charged before the tribunal for alleged extrajudicial killing.
Presiding Justice Justice Y M Ubale said the accused persons were found guilty of the offence and ordered them to pay the deceased household the total of N50m.
Counsel to the household of the deceased, Mustapha Hikima said the SARS officials had in 2019 arrested and detained the deceased for 14 days, trounce and tortured him to expiry.
The SARS operatives had arrested Mustapha Idris Muhammad for alleged armed robbery.
Justice Y M Ubale sentenced the operatives to pay the total of N50M and nowadays a public apology to the families of the deceased.
He, nevertheless nonetheless, ordered them to homecoming the deceased phone which is still in their possession.
