The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has said he has no designs to unseat the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Gbajabiamila said Sanwo-Olu is working really hard overseeing Lagos State; subsequently, there is no compelling reason to unseat him.
Speaking on Channels Television on Tuesday, the Speaker asked that Sanwo-Olu not be occupied from his task of administering Lagos State.
He said the Lagos lead representative ought to be permitted to restore his order in the following general election.
According to Gbajabiamila: “The current Governor of Lagos State (Sanwo-Olu) is doing a decent job.
“This Governor is working effectively under the flow circumstances.”
Asked in case he is nursing governorship desire, Gbajabiamila said: “No, I don’t have any such arrangement and I don’t have a prompt arrangement. I have some work I am doing well currently; it’s an exceptionally extreme job.
“I don’t need interruptions. I’m functioning as a Speaker of the House of Representatives with a ton of obligations on my shoulder at this moment. Some other thing would be a distraction.
“As for Lagos State Governorship? I have not mulled over everything. Why? Since the current Governor is doing a decent job.”
