NEWS UPDATE: Insecurity: Efforts to secure release of kidnapped Perm Sec fully on – Niger govt

Niger Province Authorities said efforts are on to secure the release of the Permanent Secretarial assistant of the Ministry building for Transportation, Ibrahim Musa Garba 02 08 21.

The Permanent Secretarial assistant was abducted with one of his children at Zungeru the headquarters of Wushishi local authorities council on the 2nd of Oct,2021

Commissioner for Information and Strategy Mohammed Idris who stated this in Minna said the authorities is not resting on its oars on the issue.

He explained that the province authorities would not compromise on its stand up on no payment of ramson in securing his release.

“There are various ways to reach it. It’s not in relation to the Perm Sec. We are not doing selective handling on the issue. We are doing whatever it takes to loose him,” the commissioner said.

According to him, the province authorities within the in conclusion 2 weeks had a coming together with heads of security agencies to come up upwards with strategies that would convey to stop the activities of bandits in the province.

Idris famous that since most attacks emanated from the rural communities, the province authorities is engaging the people on the demand to bring together in the state of war against Banditry in the province.

He insisted, ” attacks are coming from the rural communities, not the bush, that is why the authorities is engaging the people in the communities to address the issue.”

” We will not allow bandits to find how we live our lives. We will go on to take measures to secure the lives of our people.

” We will not turn out backs on our people, we will do our best. And we will view the stop of this menace”.
