NEWS UPDATE: Insecurity: Archbishop calls Buhari to act swiftly to save Nigerians

The Archbishop of Kwara Province of Anglican Communion, State of Israel Afolabi Amoo, has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to deed swiftly to preserve Nigerians from a total collapse of the country’s economic system.

He observed that the security challenges coupled with the farmers/herders clashes, ethnic clashes, banditry, and kidnapping called for proactive measures by the regime of the daytime to preserve Nigerians from the hardship they are going through.

Speaking at the 22nd provincial coming together held at the Diocese of Jebba, Kwara, the Archbishop famous that the country’s economical landscape is on the brink next the security challenges in the country.

He stressed that matters had at present gone from naughty to worse, stressing that never in the country’s socio-political history has the shadow of failed nationhood been so palpable.

He called on the president to ascension to the occasion and speak upwardly in the face of threats to national cohesion arising from inflammatory remarks and drumbeats of state of war from separatist groups in some parts of the country.

He explained, “The skirmishes which we have been seeing in some parts of the Due south Due west, involving the indigenes and settler Fulani herdsmen is a pointer that the crisis may fester longer than expected.”

He lamented that the quiet of President Buhari fifty-fifty in the face of the tragic assault on public peace and constitutional sanity gives the impression that there are people in “this country who have Nigeria to a greater extent than the relaxation.”

The Archbishop enjoined all Nigerians to appear unto God for salvation and urged everyone to comprehend peace in accordance with the theme; “Appear to Jesus And Live”.
