NEWS UPDATE: Insecurity: ACF mourns ex-Zamfara governorship candidate

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) on Monday in Kaduna mourned the Zamfara ex-governorship candidate who was killed in Rijana Kaduna Abuja expressway of late, describing the regular abduction, killings of harmless passengers and travellers along the Abuja /Kaduna highway by bandits as a national shame

Suspected gunmen had on Lord’s Day killed Hamida Sagir, an ex- governorship candidate, kidnapped his law orderly and several other travellers along Kaduna Abuja highway

Reacting on Monday, Emmanuel Yawe, National Publicity Secretarial assistant, of the ACF in a statement, expressed worry that Nigerians are daily beingness terrorised, kidnapped, and killed without due regard to human lives.

He said the continual killings of harmless Nigerians on the highway posed a national shame and described it as unacceptable to the forum

He said the latest victim of the terrorism is Hamida Sagir, a retired Manager of Protocol at the Federal Working capital Evolution Potency FCDA and a former governorship aspirant in Zamfara Province.

He was shot and killed at Rijana, on the Abuja Kaduna expressway.

He said Rijana has get a pop spot where terrorist attacks are committed on a daily and routine basis.

” We are worried that every daytime Nigerians are attacked at this same spot and our security men seem helpless in sorting out the security problems that create such attacks on the same spot piece of cake.” He said

The statement appealed to the federal authorities, and the Kaduna Province authorities not to relent efforts at ensuring 24hours vigilant on the route by the security agents

The grouping condoled with the instant household of the slain Hamida Sagir and the Zamfara Province authorities and prayed the Almighty Allah to give them the fortitude to bear the tragedy.
