President Muhammadu Buhari has said Nigeria is experiencing the most hard challenges since the civil state of war.
Buhari said this piece addressing Nigerians in celebration of the 61st Independence Daytime.
“Fellow Nigerians, the past times 18 months have been some of the most hard periods in the history of Nigeria.
“Since the civil state of war, I doubtfulness whether we have seen a period of to a greater extent heightened challenges than what we have witnessed in this period,” the President said.
The civil state of war, which was experienced betwixt 1967-1969, was fought betwixt the regime of Nigeria and the defunct Republic of Biafra.
The years were characterized with heightened food shortage, insecurity which the land is experiencing in 2021.
The President, nevertheless nonetheless,csaid despite the challenges, most Nigerians still maintain the spirit of 1st Oct.
According to him, it is due to this collective mental attitude that Nigeria doggedly continues to remain a united and indivisible land.
