NEWS UPDATE: I’m still Plateau Assembly Speaker – Abok Ayuba dismisses resignation letter

Mr Abok Ayuba, the embattled Speaker of the Plateau Province House of Assembly, purportedly impeached by 8 lawmakers has debunked insinuation that he had resigned from his place.

DAILY POST recalls that the Sanda-led faction in the Plateau Province House of Assembly had during their sitting on Thur, brought a resignation alphabetic character purportedly from Abok.

Sanda, who brandished the resignation alphabetic character before lawmakers loyal to him at their sitting on Thur, claimed that with Abok’s resignation, the leadership crisis had been position to ease in the Province Assembly over who should be recognised as the authentic Speaker.

The resignation alphabetic character dated Nov 1, 2021, was addressed to no one in specific.

But Mr Abok in a statement by his Primary Press Secretarial assistant, Bulus Atang, described the purported resignation as imitation intelligence and deliberate propaganda to win the sympathy of the people.

According to Abok, “Whether the said alphabetic character of resignation really emanated from me, I wouldn’t be seen continuously contesting the illegality going on at the Plateau Assembly.”

He famous that the ambition of Sanda-led faction had blinded their consciousness and eyes from seeing the reality.

He famous that they have not been able to program good to do their mischief, adding that their schemers were not smart plenty, making them appear fairly disgraceful, shameful, and confused in the whole prank and childish display of foolishness.

He assured that the Plateau people have a lot of confidence in him as Speaker and wouldn’t sell their birthright for anything, pointing out that “the combat is the Plateau combat; it is bigger than him (Abok) and the twelve other lawmakers who are with them as they are committed to continuing to stand up for justice, fairness, and peaceful Plateau, and to victory and stability of democracy.”

Mr Abok explained that he can’t do a alphabetic character and position a signature and stamp of ‘received’ once more.

He asked, “One would wonder why, whether they had the alphabetic character as of 1st Nov 2021, why are they bringing it out on 18th Nov 2021? They would have been happy to create it as early as possible. The crafter doing this forgery is a distraction program to win the sympathy of Plateau people.”

The statement enjoined the security operatives to investigate and unmask those behind the purported resignation alphabetic character and and forgery of the signature of Right Honourable Abok Ayuba’, with a view to bringing them to book.
