NEWS UPDATE: Ijaw group rejects PIB, insists on 10 percent for host communities

The Ijaw National Congress, INC Worldwide, has dismissed for the Niger Delta individuals, the Petroleum Industry Bill which was as of late passed into law by the National Assembly.

This was contained in a report marked and gave by the INC National President, Prof. Benjamin Okaba.

“PIB, as passed and anticipating the President’s consent, isn’t adequate by individuals of the Niger Delta.

“Extra-authoritative endeavors as vehicles of strong influence coordinated at the administration should proceed in an essential design to brace our 10% interest to have communities.

“Such influences are in consistence with the principles of protected democracy.”

The INC spoke to President Muhammadu Buhari to, as an issue of soul, value and in light of a legitimate concern for public incorporation, resend the PIB to the National Assembly for reexamination and up review.

“We ought not cede as a district at setting legitimate expectations inside the nation,” it said.
