NEWS UPDATE: Ghana, UAE seal visa-free deal

Ghanaians would now be able to enter the United Arab Emirates (UAE) without hassle.

This is the result of the visa free arrangement between the nations.

The parliament supported a Visa Waiver Agreement for strategic, administration/uncommon and conventional identification holders.

Again, UAE places ban on Nigerian flights

The free section endorsed for conciliatory and other authority classifications is on the grounds that the holders’ lead are for the most part in accordance with public and state security apparatus.

The bargain, supported August 5, 2021, follows the reception of the Foreign Affairs Committee Report on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) among Ghana and the UAE.

Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway had introduced the MoU to the House on May 26, 2021.

The assent on a fundamental level was first reached on November 18, 2019. Ghanaians can consequently remain in the Emirate for not in excess of 90 days.

The understanding contains organized visa systems for the two nations and doesn’t force commitments to concede individuals who are viewed as of problematic character.

The Ghanaian parliament says while visa waiver courses of action to work with the development of representatives and government authorities are normal, this one makes standard identification holders beneficiaries.

In Henley and Partners’ present world’s identification positioning, Nigeria is ranked 101 with 46 access countries, while Ghana positions 84 with 64 access countries.
