4 suspected kidnappers have been reported dead after engaging the Law in a shootout in Delta Province.
The suspects died spell receiving medical handling in the infirmary, DAILY POST can written report.
The Law also recovered one (1) AK 47 rifle, 2 (2) magazines, 2 pumpaction guns, twenty-eight (28) rounds of AK 47 live ammunition, thirty-one (31) rounds of live cartridges from the suspects.
It was learnt that the suspects were arrested by the Special Anti-kidnapping and Cyber-Offense Squad in a combined elbow grease with operatives of Intelligence Response Unit Forcefulness Headquarters.
The troops intercepted the gang around Agbor by the railway runway who had planned to kidnap one Mrs. Obiagheli Eze-Nwane who majors as the PDP adult female leader and married woman of Obi Agadagidi ‘1’ of Umunede Kingdom and one Fubu ‘m’ who is into oil and gas.
The Delta Province Law Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali disclosed this at a press briefing at Asaba.
CP Ali said, “The gang engaged the teams in a heavy gun duel and in the physical process the gang were overpowered by the combined squad.
“4 of the suspected members of the gang sustained serious gunshot injuries spell others escaped into the surrounding bush with traces of blood.
“The injured suspects were taken to the infirmary where they gave upwards the ghost spell receiving handling.
“Investigation later revealed that 3 amidst the suspects were on expiry roll who escaped from Oko Maximum prison house in Edo Province during the ‘END SARS’ Jailbreak.”
He said an investigation is ongoing.
