The Zamfara State Government has uncovered that it acquired more than fifty billion naira as a risk from previous Governor Abdulaziz Yari.
This was revealed by the state’s Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General, Barrister Junaidu Aminu Kaura.
He said that the state is doing combating with legal disputes on different obligations adding up to over N50 billion naira.
“it is truly regretable that the state doesn’t have any elective wellspring of assets separated from month to month cash allotment from Abuja,” he said.
The official clarified that the obligation was to a great extent acquired from the past governments, bringing up that, “Since government is a ceaseless interaction, the current Governor needs to discover method for taking care of the obligation and continue on with the administration of the state.
“Two years back, Zamfara state government has drawn in the selling of its resources worth more than one billion naira for an obligation of only sixty million naira which should be settled, yet legislature of that time neglected to take things seriously”
Kaura bemoaned that in case Yari’s organization had treated the issue of obligation reimbursement in a serious way, they ought to have settled the borrowers out of court.
The Attorney-General kept up with that regardless of the mediation of some significant people in the State, Yari’s organization had wouldn’t make the proper strides of reimbursing the debt.
He requested the help from the staff of the service to handle difficulties which included phony and falsely granted agreements by past administrations.
Earlier, the Director common case in the service, Barrister Surajo Abdullahi saluted the magistrate and guaranteed him of all fundamental help and collaboration from the staff of the ministry.
