Former Manchester United striker, Dwight Yorke has warned Anthony Martial that he must ‘buckle downward’ to preserve his career at the guild.
Yorke believes Martial needs to prove his ‘immense talent’ in tell to regain his way dorsum into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first off squad at Old Trafford.
Martial was handed his first off Premier League start of the flavor in Man United’s 1-1 draw with Everton finally Saturday and justified his choice by scoring his side’s only goal of the encounter.
But with Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani ahead of Martial in Solskjaer’s pecking tell of forwards and Marcus Rashford set to homecoming from injury, the French Republic international is struggling for game time.
“When you play for this guild [Manchester United] and you are not doing the business and your cast dips for whatever reason, you are going to be under scrutiny,” Yorke told Goal.
“He [Martial] has got to buckle downward really whether he has a hereafter at this football guild.
“He’s undoubtedly got immense talent and all the attributes we similar to consider in an attacking player and there is no interrogation he can be that vital player for us, but at the instant, he is not in the squad and he’s got to regain a way to acquire dorsum into the squad.”
“He’s been a scrap of a mixed bag, to be fair,” he added.
