Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has promised that midfielder, Saul Niguez, will acquire his chances despite not starting against Southampton.
Saul was an unused substitute during Chelsea’s Premier League 3-1 win against Southampton over the weekend.
Tuchel instead started Ruben Loftus-Cheek ahead of Saul at Stamford Bridge.
“Saul was really, really shut to starting on Saturday [against Southampton].
“In the finish I decided against it because I thought whether we set him in some other high-pressing match, against an opponent who is urgent so high in the centre of the pitch, would it be fair to him to say okay at present prove it, and permit’s view whether your adaption has gone farther.
“It’s life at Chelsea and we have to hold on going and hold everybody positive.
“The guys have to work for their shape because performance is the most important, and shape and confidence and positive mental attitude. Saul has everything. His time will come up,” Tuchel was quoted by Chelsea’s official website as saying on Monday.
Saul joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid in the summertime transfer window.
