Legendary Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry, has approved Pierre-Emerick’s goal celebration during their 3-1 win over Tottenham on Lord’s Day.
Aubameyang, who is the captain of the current Gunners, made it 2-0 before replicating Henry’s iconic human knee slide celebration.
Henry himself watched from the VIP box within the Emirates, as Mikel Arteta’s men pose upward an outstanding display in the Northward London Derby.
Emile Smith Rowe, Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka all netted before half time, before seeing the game out in the moment half.
Aubameyang tucked home Smith Rowe’s cutback and eagle eyed fans were specially impressed that he chose to re-create one of the lodge’s most iconic moments in celebration.
The Gabonese international human knee slid in front end of the absent fans, in a similar fashion to Henry’s legendary celebration in a 3-0 victory over Spurs at Highbury in Nov 2002.
“I guess it is the due north London derby celebration!” Henry said on Sky Sports, reacting to Aubameyang’s celebration.
“On the daytime you can do it at your ground, absent from home it’s a flake to a greater extent tricky.”
